exams are OVERR! :D

and i got a new blog design!! :D courtesy of yk..but i contributed too! haha...she came to my hall for a sleepover and we ended up working on my blog after looking at her hall "chalet" (still dont understand why its a chalet :p) photos..simple but it was a happy night..the next day we decided to go bugis street on impulse! and had to take turns to lug her heavy laptop...cos we wanted to shop and i've never been there before also..i bought a dress in the end! but only when we were about to leave..though my mummy said it looks like pyjamas! :( but i still think its nice anyway! haha even though i really dunno when i'll actually have the occasion to wear it..also realized the stuff at bugis street doesn't really suit me either..they're too hip! haha.i'm still more comfortable in my normal, ordinary clothes like tshirts and shorts..haha omg wad a superficial start to my entry..

post-exam mini celebration for bin again since poor her had her birthday between 2 papers! went to ben and jerry's after watching definitely, maybe (i liked it!) where steph and shy min joined us :)

hehe i just used this photo-editing webbie that steph recommended to me! picnik.com..its really very cool..you can edit the texture, colour, brightness etc...and what i like most is the numerous cute prints they have that we can put into our photos! like the ladybug above! and they have cool fonts for almost any type of theme..and its super user friendly..yup! :)


i took this photo through the window of my living room..the sight was so tranquil and serene it looked abit too surreal..especially the clouds floating above..


we went to west coast park again! but we were a little too late and the sun had set by the time we ran to the breakwaters..but the sky was still beautiful..i just love skies with a gradient of colours..from blue to orange to pink..so i ended up snapping so many repetitive photos..




ooh i spotted these 2 clouds! dont you think the first one looks like a baby camel with poo coming out from its back! and the second one reminds me of some roman warrior oh his horse or sth..sth like asterix..haha..




kez, wei, pris and i went kboxing! but stupid kez SOOOOO paiseh la!! dont even dare sing at all! think the whole 4 hrs plus she only sang like 3 songs at max, and not even into the mike! but happyyy! :)

decided to go back to hall to stay over for one last night..before we returned our keys the next day..the girl with the sexy legs is jingxiu my roomie! (haha really love the picnik.com!) hmm when i left my room and switched off the lights and knew i was never gonna step back i felt this deep sense of nostalgia hit me..and realized how much i'll miss everything about staying in hall..from meeting kez and wei at our stairs to rushing for the morning buses, to coming back together, having dinners together..to returning to a room with jx inside..being able to whine to her about my day..mug together with all of them..even though in total it was only a few months it really created lotsa sweet memories for me to look back upon next time.. :)




haha jingxiu sucks at indian poker!! she keeps getting cheated so easily! so gullible lor! :p hehe..we bought blue shark as a forfeit..wanted to buy some alcoholic drink like beer but we had no guts..if the 7eleven staff replayed their in-store cctv or sth they'd be laughing at us la! we took the beer out den put it back again and kept repeating such stupid actions! in the end we settled for blue shark..brother of red bull?? its an energy drink but its SUPER SWEET! and jx had to keep drinking it haha!

sigh i haven been having this horrible headache for the past 3 days and it just wont go away no matter how much panadol i take, how much i sleep or by trying any other method i learn from the internet!

my forehead feels so tensed and my eyebrows hurt and there is this burning pain at the back of my eyes! the internet says its some muscle contraction and females usually experience it a day before our periods but mine's ending! does it count? haha sighhh

and its greatly impeding my studying rate during this critical period! argh

anyone has a good remedy to get rid of headaches? i dont mind suffering, but after the exams please!! :(

the intricate balance in our lives

i've been so used to the comfortable routine of life created by my parents, zk and my friends that it's scary to think how much i'll be affected if this balance shifts even slightly.

just a random thought..to remind myself not to take what's important to me for granted :)

sigh how can some people be so evil-hearted? and seem to have no sense of conscience? and ride on their supposed authority to get others down..totally immoral..just hope this trying period will pass quickly for you dear..everything heals with time..the present may be difficult to bear, but the present will soon be the past! i'll always be here for you :)

mini update!

haha guess what! i've discovered my closet profession!!..................
HAIRDRESSING! hahahah
last sat, on impulse and also cos he needed to, i cut zk's hair!
at first he didn't think i was serious about the idea, but when i first suggested to him, i already had a rough idea how i was gonna do it hehe..but when i actually got down to it..the first few snips were disastrous! i started with the right side of his head..and ended up in holes in his hair! but luckily i was conservative and didn't cut that much initially, so later i could mend the holes by trimming the longer parts that were sticking out! and as time went by (hahaha i took more than an hour ok!! dunno if it reflects my proness or lousiness haha!)..i got better and better! my snips were getting faster and faster..and on top of that, i didn't have a shaver too! ok this sounds worrying cos i think its kinda an instrumental equipment to have when cutting guys' hair, but i tried my best to imitate the effect of a shaver...i was cutting upwards to create the 'slope'!

and stupid zk was DOZING OFF la!! goodness! and he was getting very restless cos he can't sit still for long..he had to keep asking me to pause while he shifted..what a lousy customer!!

in the end, i was rather pleased with my masterpiece! hehe..but zk said there's a bulge on one side cos i cut the other side shorter oops! (and when he went back to camp his friends all said his hair look like kok!! ahhhh so hurtful! but they just thought it was a job done by a lousy barber hehehe)

haha..and zk made me watch this jap anime called monster with him over the weekend..i never really enjoyed watching anime..but monster is really really good! its full of suspense and thrill and furthermore, it's rather deep and philosophical yet logical at the same time! its extremely addictive..even now when im in the hostel i feel excited by the thought of being able to watch the next few episodes! :D

hmm on a less positive note, screwed up accounting test today..its always my time management..i really suck at time management..from tests to exams and appointments..really need to learn how to prioritize my tasks and use my time wisely!! but oh well, no point brooding over what's over..shall just work harder then! :)

its finally the holidays!! been looking forward so much to a well-deserved break :)

hmm..much as we always complain about how stressful school is, it is always better than it seems actually..i cant describe how much i miss jc..miss wearing the uniform..things that we took so naturally for granted..come only once in our lives yet we always fail to appreciate its value and preciousness while we still had the chance to..and now we can only reminisce these moments as memories..so let us all enjoy every moment, count every blessing that we have..and not only focus on the aspects that we aren't happy with, but the things, people we know we'll miss once we leave uni :)

i'm addicted!!

ahh i can't stop downloading pretty photographs of natural scenery from the web! its so addictive!! one photo links to so many others and i just go on and on and on! there're just so many beautiful shots of nature captured by people from all over the world, there's no end to my searching!

i love looking at all these photos cos they make me imagine that i was there at all those places..and the feeling is wonderful..really wish i could actually visit those places one day..

there are a few distinctive types of scenery i'm attracted to..beaches, sunsets/sunrises, beautiful skies, a vast meadow of flowers on the hills, autumn, enchanting tropical forests and enigmatic ones which just capture one's imagination..

i realise i like scenery which is romantic on the whole, but i'm intrigued by those which give me this weird feeling i can't describe..like imagining that i was there in the photo makes me somewhat depressed and melancholic, its a very strange experience..its really impactful..i'm drawn to these photographs..but i'm somewhat afraid to physically be at these places at the same time..

i haven't blogged in a long time..probably cos those whom i wanna update on my life already know wad's going on in my life..and also my life's been quite normal, peaceful..nothing especially striking for me to blog about..

basically, its been a new semester in my first year of uni..been coping ok so far..was thrown into 4 classes with totally new faces around me..but luckily i've made a few friends..of which a few have exactly the same timetable as me..but im stll closest to my friends i made last sem..pris, wei, kezia..feel really secure with them..and i can be totally myself..

been quite busy with other commitments apart from sch work..abit of hall stuff but not so much anymore (jx and i were in the mascot!! haha guess wad we were!! i was a cloud and she was a shrub! oh man i dont remember doing sth lidat even back in kindergarten! and i haven performed in front of such a large audience in such a LONG time man...since...sec 2?? when we had choral night in ny and i acted as a ghostly doll who sat among the audience to increase the scare factor)..and quite a bit of cip stuff..mostly for the intellectually disabled..they're so easily contented it really makes one wonder why we try so hard to attain things that are not actually important at all..

i'm glad i still keep in touch with all my close friends..i guess as everyone moves on in life, we attach ourselves to more and more commitments..and its so difficult to fix a date when everyone is free at the same time..gatherings which used to take place once a week, once a month, are only possible once a month, once in two months now..but its ok..as long as we dont drift apart..it does take two hands to clap..so let us all make the effort to keep the friendships which mean a lot to us going..whether thru msn, email or even a simple sms..

recently i learnt something which developed mixed feelings in me..bothered that i might have been too naive? but glad in a way i know the problem didnt lie entirely with me..we all move on eventually..we no longer yearn as much for things that could have been..and we find new activities to keep ourselves busy, to infuse meaning into our lives..if, there should be a day when the rainbow really appears after the storm, we'll all realise how foolish we have been..and we'll be happy, innocently happy, like we used to be all over again :)
